FUNDRAISING

The IWI began over 38 years ago to promote social, cultural, intellectual exchange and friendship among women of all nationalities living in Istanbul. It has grown into a large association, with approximately 600 members. In 1994 the IWI became a legal association working in accordance with the Turkish Laws for Associations. Our association also supports many charities in Istanbul . Each year, the IWI organizes two major fundraising events: the Christmas Bazaar and the Spring Ball. As IWI is a non-profit association all earnings after expenses made at the Bazaar and Spring Ball will be directly invested for selected charity projects chosen to improve life for less fortunate people within the Turkish community.

Annual International Christmas Bazaar

Hundreds of our members are preparing traditional specialties for the very successful International Food Court and Christmas accessories from their home countries for all the visitors. We usually have an attendance of plus 3,000 guests. Our biggest attraction has always been the famous lottery, full of special prizes thanks to the support from company sponsors.

Annual Spring Charity Ball

Every year a different theme, the annual spring charity ball is a gala evening of entertainment, charity gambling, great food and fun games. This event is an extension of the bazaar as it is the generous donations of our sponsors that make this event a huge success.

How to sponsor us?

There are many opportunities to help IWI succeed with both of our fundraising events. Companies and individuals can sponsor these charitable events with cash donations or a donation of company products. There are many levels of sponsorship and each provides benefits to the company donating!.
